Thanks to your hard work, time, talents and financial support, the 2008 SpeedFest raised $84,326 for three Dayton based charities; Daybreak, the Ronald McDonald House and the Wellness Connection.

Since 2000, the Taj Kreuzers SpeedFest has raised $411,538 for our local community families in need. Please accept my heart felt thanks for everything you did to make this one of best years to date in these uncertain economic times. You are to be congratulated.

A LIMITED NUMBER OF RACE CARTS LEFT!

Have you ever wanted to race? Now is your chance! Don't miss out on the fun while raising money for charity: Daybreak, the Ronald McDonald House, the Wellness Connection. Come join nearly 50 other businesses and groups as they race on a professionally designed course on the streets surrounding the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering on Saturday, May 24th.

Several races throughout the day give teams the opportunity to allow multiple drivers the opportunity to race while the rest of the team helps with driver changes and pit stops. Safety and camaraderie have been hallmarks of the event thanks to the professional race officials and workers that volunteer to keep the event running smoothly and efficiently.

To join in the fun, you need to purchase the go cart, which you then own and can use for other promotional purposes, for $1250. Then simply pay the fully tax deductible 2008 entry fee of $1750.

Presented By: Forgeline Wheels and p2o
Our founding event will be held at Kettering's beautiful Lincoln Park. This low key car show will feature Porsches and sports cars of all types displayed in a unique valley setting for incredible panoramic views of the worlds most beautiful cars. Venue also includes: food court, vendor area, permanent restroom facilities, Public shelters, children's activity area and more.

Preregister for $0 and receive a dash plaque.

Preregister for $10 and we'll feed and clothe you. You will receive an event tee shirt and a ticket good for your choice of a hot dog or a slice of pizza, bag of chips and a 20 oz. Pepsi product in addition to a dash plaque.

Or simply show up the day of the Car Show with your sled.

Covered Bridge Tour
The 120 mile Covered Bridge Family Driving Tour will bring you to the remaining seven covered bridges in Preble County, Ohio. We will stop at every covered bridge with amble time for pictures and conversation.

The drive will take you through scenic farm land. Most of the farms were established over 250 years ago. Lunch stop is at the picturesque 'Roberts' double barrel bridge park in Eaton, Ohio. There are only seven 'double barrel' covered bridges left in the U.S.

The tour will conclude by 3:00 PM, about two miles from I-70. Further details will be sent to participants once they register. For more information, contact Fred Uhlmann, fcuhlmann@msn.com

Road Warrior Tour

Lions, Tigers and Bears! Oh, My!
The 2008 Road Warriors 1-Oh-5 Whirled Tour will be similar to last years. The course will be run in some new areas with "echoes" of the past. As we did last year, there will be questions. Your job will be to find the answers that will be found along the course. John Dixon has some special awards for the winners.

Registration will be at White-Allen European Auto Group on SR 741 starting at 9:00 am with the first car leaving at 10:00 am.

The grand-daddy of all parties closes out the 2008 SpeedFest Saturday night May 31st at the Taj.

Leave the ties at home boys...this is an upscale yet casual event that is all about fun. Nationally known automotive legend, The Egyptian, will be on hand with some unforgettable auction items that must be seen to be believed.

The Fries Band, live auction, silent auction, awesome food, open bar and the incomparable Taj atmosphere all combine to create a veritable bacchanal of philanthropic activity as we strive to top the $72,000 that we raised during last year's SpeedFest.
